The State Bank of India announces every year the recruitment of several eligible bachelors to the Clerical Cadre in the Associate Banks of India. The recruitment is open for all the eligible candidates who are interested to make their careers in the Banking sector.

The recruitment for the State Bank of India Clerical posts is done through a written exam and interview conducted solely for this purpose. The exam is usually organized by the SBI in the month of September/ October at the SBI prescribed centres. The candidates will be informed about the examination and application details one to two months prior to the date of conduct of test.

The examination consists of objective type questions in the following main sections:

I. General Awareness

II. General English

III. Quantitative Aptitude

IV. Reasoning Ability

V. Marketing Aptitude/ Computer Knowledge

The candidates will have to pass in each section as decided by the Bank on the basis of the candidate performance in the test. The candidates are also required to obtain the min. number of marks in the Interview for finally selected to the post concerned.

There is no negative marking in the written test; however, there will be a loss of one-fourth marks for each wrong answer of the candidate.
